One dead, five injured in six-vehicle accident

KUALA LUMPUR: A motorcyclist was killed, and five others were injured in a six-vehicle crash on Jalan Hulu Langat – Ampang yesterday.

Kajang police chief ACP Naazron Abdul Yusof said the 4.45pm accident involved four motorcycles and two cars. Six individuals, including two pillion riders, were traveling towards Ampang when a car from the opposite direction swerved into their lane, colliding with all five vehicles.

A 20-year-old motorcyclist was thrown off and died at the scene, while five others sustained injuries and were taken to Ampang Hospital. Both car drivers were unharmed. The victims were aged between 17 and 38.

The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. Anyone with information can contact Investigating Officer Inspector Narolhisyam Endi at 019-5897115.
