Justice Moves Forward: Hanis Zalikha’s Former Employees’ Assets Frozen by High Court

Hanis Zalikha has described the High Court’s recent freezing of the assets of her former employees as a “first victory” for her.

Hanis Zalikha, a social media influencer, actress and TV host, recently celebrated what she described as a “first victory” after the High Court froze the assets of her former employees, who are currently on trial for criminal breach of trust. Hanis, 34, shared her confidence in the Malaysian legal system expressing hope that it would ultimately deliver justice.

According to Hanis, her business had suffered millions of ringgit in losses due to the alleged breach which led to the court’s asset-freezing order against the accused individuals. Although typically a private person, Hanis felt it was necessary to share updates on the case because it impacted many suppliers connected to her confectionery brand, Cakenis.

She expressed gratitude to those suppliers who had supported her through the ordeal including those who provided critical documents to aid the legal process. In recent years, Cakenis has thrived following the removal of the implicated employees and Hanis proudly noted its recovery and success. She acknowledged that her brand has “bounced back” strongly with business improving steadily.

Hanis had hinted at her legal progress on October 16 through an Instagram post featuring the Kuala Lumpur Court Complex. In the caption, she celebrated the “long-awaited victory” in September, thanking the High Court for the favorable ruling and expressing relief that justice was moving forward. This court decision is a milestone in her efforts to regain stability for Cakenis, while she continues to await the full resolution of the case.
